Yogi Castle Visit #33
Ddot and I went to Yogi Castle the other day. Which frozen yogurt do you think is mine, and which do you think is Ddot’s?
Frozen Yogurt A
Frozen Yogurt B
If you think A is mine, you’re stupid obviously, you’re new here. You should probably read this post on acceptable chocolate to fruit ratios.
Basically, it says you should always have more chocolate than fruit. Or, if you’re like me, always have only chocolate and no fruit.
Moving on to the next order of business…Frozen Yogurt for Breakfast: For or Against?
Yogi Castle now has Fruity Pebbles and Captain Crunch as toppings. Who knows how long they’ve been there. I usually only notice chocolate stuff.
It seems misleading to have cereal as toppings. I can’t go there for breakfast anyway because Yogi Castle doesn’t open until 11. I know this because I spent Sunday morning pressed up against the glass drooling and clawing until my fingers bleeded bled.
What’s your favorite topping? Why doesn’t Yogi Castle have broken Pop-Tarts as a topping? How much longer should I put up with Ddot’s chocolate vs. fruit disrespect?

Yeah, that first one is just wrong. It seems like a waste. He should just go eat an apple next time.
I mean, I like some straweberries on my yogurt, but it must be topped with caramel and chocolate syrup and be over top heath/dulce de leche yogurt. Duh.

NOW I WANT SOME ICECREAM, CHOCOLATE OF COURSE!
March 6th, 2012 at 9:43 am
Fruit should be left for top of toast or waffles (as long as their whipped cream).
March 7th, 2012 at 2:49 pm
I love fruit and whipped cream on top of pancakes.

Oh wow!!! I didn’t even know you could get flavours like that! Cake Batter, omg!!! We seriously don’t have anything like that here

I kind of like the “dreamsicle” frozen yogurt flavor. Here at “coolberries” (our version of the frozen yogurt splendor), you can mix dreamsicle with white chocolate. But that combo needs things like gummy bears and fruity pebbles for some reason. But don’t worry. I don’t add real fruit.
Although… I noticed in the paper (they publish their new flavors) that they now have RED VELVET CAKE FROZEN YOGURT, so I may be on my way for another massive yogurt overload.

Speaking of dreamsicles, I discovered last night that if you mix Tang and vanila vodka, it tastes just like a melted dreamsicle. If you’re into that kind of thing.
March 7th, 2012 at 2:50 pm
I bet marshmallows would be good in the dreamsicle flavor.
I flippin’ love Tang! I never thought about mixing it with vodka…. I’ll be right back!

I think I’d combine them. I was the kid who stirred her ice cream until it was a milkshake.

I’m sorry but I’m a fruit topping girl. And granola. We don’t have Yogi Castle. I will make a stop at Pinkberry for you though. I’m thinking sometime next week. it’s ridiculously cold here!
March 7th, 2012 at 2:51 pm
It was cold here, too. I just eat in the car…with the heat on.
March 6th, 2012 at 11:46 am
Keep the yogurt, just give me the chocolate.
March 6th, 2012 at 12:19 pm
Why DON’T they have Pop Tarts?? That would be an amazing topping.
I think it’s absolutely acceptable for breakfast. I think one can eat anything for breakfast. I’m partial to leftover pizza.
March 7th, 2012 at 2:52 pm
I love cold pizza for breakfast. Mmmmm….
March 6th, 2012 at 12:20 pm
Don’t think of it as disrespect. Think of it as providing a perfect, “what not to do” foil to your more reasonable chocolate stance.
March 6th, 2012 at 1:06 pm
Haha I love my fruit but in the face of Chpcolate it does tend to lose my interest – unless it is on a huge skewer and mixed with marshmallows lollies…
Cheers

It’s all about Chocolate!!!
March 6th, 2012 at 1:27 pm
Yeah, fruit doesn’t belong in a cup of frozen yogurt. Too healthy. I like the idea of using broken Pop-Tarts as a topping, but only if it’s been toasted first and is still warm.
March 6th, 2012 at 1:53 pm
I’ve tried the Cap’n Crunch on the frozen yogurt and all I have to say is: YES. Also, just saw your slushie to the face video. Is it weird that I immediately pressed replay?
Also, also: you so pretty. You make me wanna buy you all the frozen yogurts.

Well…you can buy my friendship with dessert. So consider yourself my new bestie.
Glad you liked the video!
March 6th, 2012 at 2:52 pm
I don’t think we have a Yogi Castle
March 6th, 2012 at 5:16 pm
Are chocolate Cheerios or Cocoa Puffs considered breakfast yogurt toppings?
March 7th, 2012 at 2:54 pm
I still haven’t tried the chocolate Cheerios. I need to get on that.
March 6th, 2012 at 6:01 pm
What??? No Count Chocula or Cocoa Puffs??? Outrageous…
March 6th, 2012 at 9:40 pm
I’m gonna go with B. And then you went back and added even more chocolate after you took the picture.
March 7th, 2012 at 2:40 pm
Do Fruity Pebbles count as a fruit?
I don’t think you should use broken pop-tarts as a yogurt topping. I think you should use warm, whole pop-tarts as a base for a yogurt sundae (like a brownie sundae, but with a pop-tart).
March 7th, 2012 at 2:55 pm
It should totally count as a fruit. Multiple fruits even since there are several fruit flavors.
The warm Pop-Tart on the bottom sounds awesome!
March 7th, 2012 at 9:58 pm
I’m all for frozen yogurt for breakfast, as long as it’s with the right toppings–like strawberries and cheerios, or waffle bits dipped in Nutella. Yum! Oh and I guessed correctly. I’d choose the same one!
