Do you know what time it is?
No, it is NOT Howdy Doody Time.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. It’s Halloween costume shopping time!
Kiefer and I ordered our first costumes this weekend. That’s right. I said “Kiefer and I.” Because it’s “and I” not “and me” as a subject. Because we’re wearing matching costumes this year. Ooooooo…matching costumes…that’s a big committment for Mr. Kiefer.
Anyways…are you following me on Twitter? If so, you already know that I guest posted on Oma’s blog about the imminent pumpkin threat this season. If not, go check it out. It may save your life.

Bookends? Socks? Earrings? Hansel and Gretel? Just a hint. . . ?
September 6th, 2012 at 11:25 am
No hints.

I’ll just read your mind, then. I’m in the zone right now. . . .Oh! That’s a GREAT couples costume!

I knew you would like it! =)
I seldom go with the first costume. Three years ago I changed the day before Halloween. So no early reveals.

Hold on, now. You can’t tease like that! What are y’all gonna be? Pumpkins?
September 6th, 2012 at 11:26 am
Ok…one hint…not pumpkins.

So who is in the horses rear this year?

Are you going to do a big costume reveal on Halloween? This reminds me we discussed corsets once, because I want to wear a costume that requires a corset. You recommended Hot Topic, and I think you’re onto something…
Why can’t I remember anything I learned in last week’s staff meeting, but I remember this year-old conversation?

I remember the corset convo! You only remember the cool stuff. I bet if you staff meeting talked about mustaches and Pop-Tart diets, you’d remember.

The husband and I dressed as Santa and a dominatrix one year and went as a subordinate clause……..

That’s the most fantastic thing I’ve ever heard!

Love it!

My DH and I went as “Man and Woman in a Windstorm.” I think we won the competition. I don’t think there was a prize.

Well this should be interesting. Hope your planning on posting a pic or two.

Of course!

This is momentous indeed. I have yet to get my guy to wear a matching costume. In fact, he’s only dressed up once in the decade we’ve been together. Fail.
September 6th, 2012 at 11:28 am
Once? Once?!?!
September 7th, 2012 at 7:11 am
Once

You are so lucky, seriously, my husband would never do it and I have always wanted to do a matching costume. His favorite comeback is, “Well, honey, we could just go as a ball and chain” I answer, “Oh, sweetheart, everyone knows I really wear the pants, that’s it, you wear a dress and I wear a suit.” For some reason I get this funny hand gesture and death glare. Yeah, no matching costumes for us. Wonder why?

THANK YOU for sharing the grammar lesson. I wish people would actualy follow it. Can’t wait to see a picture of these costumes. I won’t be going anywhere =[
